What are the advantages and disadvantages of keeping to a diet?

Nowadays many people have ever tried keeping to a diet. The main reason of it, I think, that it is one of the most effective way of losing of extra weight. But does it always have only positive results? In general, there are some benefits such as getting your body healthier and losing weight; however, disadvantages also have place to be; they are: the lack of vitamins and provocation of diseases.
Of course, keeping to a diet have a range of advantages which attract people.  The most popular goal, which almost everyone wants to achieve with the help of a diet, is losing of weight. Persons who suffer from obesity always resort to this method. It is very simple and, usually, enough effective. You do not need a big amount of money for it. Usually, it is only necessary to eliminate some kinds of food from your ration. Moreover, a diet is also useful for those who just want to stay healthy. Some people do not eat sweets, biscuits, fried food, spicy food, etc. In their opinion, such kind of food may be the cause of illnesses. They prefer healthy eating: vegetables, fruits, cereal, and fish.
On the other hand, keeping to a diet may lead to several problems. Especially in the cases of not observing the rules of food ration. First of all, while trying to get rid of extra weight people stop eating of almost every kind of food or make their portions be too small. But our organism cannot exist without the source of energy. As a result, it gives failures. This way some diseases have places to be. It is necessary to be mentioned that there are some “unhealthy” diets. For example, I have heard about the chocolate diet, according to which a person eats only chocolate during the week. Unfortunately, such kind of food ration leads to lack of necessary vitamins and minerals in the organism.
To sum it up, there are different opinions about this issue. The conversations about keeping to a diet are frequent among doctors or among ordinary people who just interested in it. That’s why there are many advantages and disadvantages which are always discussed. And there will be no certain answer whether a diet is good or evil.

  1. Your summary gives a good idea about the article; there is a good balance b/w general points and specific details

they are: (P) *the (art) lack of vitamins and *provocation (WW) of diseases.
It is not common to use a colon ":" this way > you should write "they are as follows:"
*persons: WNum: this plural form is used in very fml docs, e.g., legal papers
Especially in the cases of not observing the rules of food ration: it's a fragment; and should br joined to the main part of the sentence
but our organism > people's body: "our" is common pronoun in Ru in this case, not in English
*The (art) conversations (WW) > discussions about keeping to a diet are frequent
